Yellow Finger Gorgonian Dead?

How do you know if a Yellow Finger Gorgonian is still alive? It has not been out in about 2 weeks now. Water conditions are just fine, just had them tested at the LFS when I picked up a few corals today (blueberry gorgonian, galaxia and ricordia).

If it is still yellow, it's still alive. All the tissue decays and leaves a brown/black twig like skeleton when they die.

You probly shouldnt be buying corals if you aren't sure if something in the tank is alright IMO. You should also read up on the animal even signs of stress/death before you purchase it so you know what to look for. Not trying to be a jerk since I used to do the same thing. The yellows are considered advanced as they are not photocynthetic.

Also they like a lot of flow (I mean alot) so if any algea is on it, it can be blown off. This may be your problem try placing it by your return outlet.
