Yellow Long Nose (F. flavissimus) tank size?

I have a 3'x2'x22' tank. 80 gallons or so. Will F. flavissimus be ok in this tank size wise? I know the websites list them at 8" or so but I have rarely seen fish grow to their reported sizes in captivity.

Tank mates will probably be a dwarf angel and a small shoal of chromis.

you will need a larger tank , i say 75-100 gallon min.

I think a 4' tank would be more suitable since this fish is a very active fish. It may look cramped in your 3' tank, but the 2' front to back definitely helps some. If your tank is very open with minimal rock I think you can pull it off.

Maybe Prognathodes aculeatus would be OK in this size tank.

Thanks for the input. I figured that a 4' tank was probably a better bet.

SDguy, having a P. aculeatus would be nice but I have this totally weird thing about mixing oceans. When I used to do freshwater, it would drive me nuts to see gouramis and tetras mixed in together. My wife has a couple neon blue gobies in her tank with anthias, threadfin cardinals and genicanthus and they always make me shake my head. If I ever do an Atlantic tank though, they would definitely be at the top of my list.

A 4' tank certainly would be much better but I think you will be ok with your tank if you get a small one, have mostly open space, and have good water movement in the tank. The ones I have kept swim around and are active but don't seem to make long bursts where they would be cramped by length like many other fish.
