yellow mimic tang solinity?

how tolerant is the yellow mimic tang to freshwater dips and hyposolitity, and if i were to do a FW dip should i streight hard water (provided ph, temp and chemicals are adjusted) or should i use some water from my fresh water fish tanks?

also for hypo, 1.009 is a good solinity?

1.009 is what you shot for, a fw-dip i have done is ro/di water with proper ph and a powerhead but it did not do a thing

While doing FW dip, the temperature and pH should be exactly the same.
Hyposalinity is a much effective way for ich treatment. You should lower down to 1,009 for ich.
