Hi everybody i have some yellow polyps that are infesting a zoo colonie can i kill them them the same way that you kill aptaisia whit a seringe and vinegar
thanks rick

I'm assuming you mean, yellow colonial polyps?
You should be able to kill they, the same way as aptasia's.
I usually use a kalk paste or Joes Juice.

thanks i'll be putting that on my list to do thing and put the yellow polyp rock somewhere it wont spread to other rocks

I have these guys takin over in my sump.... Its hard to belive but alot of people like them. I never realized what a few polyps could really turn into till i kept these things for about a year. I have a 4 pound rock completely covered, about 30 polyps still in the display tank, they are growing up the walls (and on my sandbed even) in my fuge, its crazy.
I am wanting to rid the display tank of them myself because they are starting to spread again and my real estate is limited. I hate to try and kill a coral but i think im going to follow along here because they are on a rock at the bottom of my stack.

has any one tried to get under these guys like you do zoas with an exacto and just peel them up?

That's exactly what I do with them - the problem being that they generally don't have a mat like most zoos. You'll end up getting a lot of little single yellow polyps.

I scraped enough off one rock the other day that I could make two 4x2 colonies on new rocks - just superglued some of the larger pieces down. Made great trade-in pieces.
