I have a yellow stripe maroon clown whos tail looks horrible....
Water params are all good.....
I'm not sure what to do but it has gotten significantly worse in the last 3 days. I had to fresh water dip him because he had Benedeniella Monogenean on him. His tail fin was frayed, but now it his tail fin is gone down to the flesh.....I'll try to get a picture. The rest of his fins look good.
I have been putting melafix in it for 5 days, then started putting pimafix in the tank. I would have posted sooner, but he stays hidden all the time.

I'm not sure what other info anyone would need...so let me know if you need more...

A nasty bacterial infection is a strong possibility here. I would place in quarantine with Furan-2 or similar antiobiotic cocktail.

Oh, if you qt the female, make sure the clowns are together. If you seperate the female from the male the male will start to turn into a female and then new problems arise.

I would throw in like a piece of dead rock or fake corali favailable just for extra shelter. Make sure all inverts are out.

Do you plan on running the lights during qt?

not sure about the lights....haven;t really put much thought into it yet....

This will be my first time doing this so I'm kind of flying by the seat of my pants.

I have read a lot about how to do it, but never had to do it...

Yeah I bet its not a fun experience. I would have light but keep it to a minimum. Have your lights on for like 5 hours at the most and then keep them off.

Oh btw, they don't have to be strong lights or anything. Just NO will be fine or even sunlight is acceptable. Just make sure there is not to much light to prevent stress.

Well the qt is setup and the clowns are in it.....light is a regular fish tank light.

Have to get some meds in the morning...
Well see how it goes....
I'll update tomorrow.
Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.
