Yellow Tail Damsel

I've never kept one before, but want to add one for sure or possibly a trio to my 150 gallon (60x24x24). Would I be better off just sticking with one or can I get away with multiples with my tank size? Would they eventually pick each other off? Are they less aggressive towards other fish when kept singly or in a group?

I've had them in big tanks with not problems. They won't stick in a trio, but will spread out. These are my preferred "cheaper damsel". They stay smaller, keep their color as they get older, and are not terribly aggressive with other fish. If you are looking for something smaller, but more on the rare side, look for a starki damsel.

Cool, thats good to hear. Is my 150 gallon big enough for 3 without aggression or should I stick with two?

I've looked at the starki, but I think I'm going to stick with the yellow tails for sure. Because of price, their color, and their more peaceful temperament compared to other damsels.

I had two in my 90 who were pretty aggressive towards each other. In my 300 they are much more agreeable. As long as you have enough rock (aka homes) I'd think you could do two in a 150.
