Typically what kind of algae do yellow tang eat in our tank?

algae is not their food of choice. macro-algae are small plants that grow from LR. they may be planted also. mine loves Nori and cheato. Nori is found in the grocery in seafood aisle. mostly found in stores with Sushi. frozen foods: mysis shrimp, spirulina, reef blend #2. REEF-ON!

Thanks for your reply. So Yellow Tang prefer not to eat algae from the rock but prefers plant type macro-algae?

Basically i am just wondering if i should get yellow tang or bunch of snails for possible algae issues for my next setup. I wanted to keep it low bio-load so not sure if i should get yellow tang or not. I like to get him if you think they can eat possible algaes but what do you recommend? Do you think snails will get the job done or i should get yellow tang? IT will be skimmerless 90G low bioload, low feeding setup.
