Yellow Tang Black Spot

after adding my scooter blenny to my tank i wanted to see how he was doing so i look in my tank and my yellow tang has a big black or dark spot on him, he is very healthy and very peaceful, i dont understand. btw the lights were off when i saw him and someone told me its for camoflouge but i dont think its true. Help please!!

The tangs do shift colors and patterns when the lights are off. Wait till the lights have been on for an hour and feed the fish and then see what he looks like.
