yellow tang disease

I had a yellow tang that was doing great and then one day a pectoral fin started to degrade and a red spot formed at its base. Next morning he was sluggish, that night was lying on his side and the next AM dead.

I cant tell that anything in the tank changed. Took water to LFS and all parameters were WNL.

Do I have something in the tank likely to get any additional tangs or should I just chalk this up to "one of those things" ?

What were you feeding him?

Only time I've seen red on a Yellow Tang was from bad water parameters. Most of the time water changes cleared it right up. Also using selcon in their food and feeding well.

Pretty extreme to die that fast though...
