Yellow tang flukes or ich?

Just got a yellow tang from lfs on friday.

Just noticed him "twitching" every so often and I can see a slight cloudiness at the bottom of one of his eyes.

just tested ammonia and nitrates... ammonia is at 0 nitrates are at 5.

He's the only guy in the QT tank right now.

I think i'm going to dose prazipro now... does this seem like the correct treatment?

Would you lean towards flukes or ich? I don't see any white spots on him.

I would dose the prazi since, for now, the only symptoms are head twitching and a cloudy eye and it is a well tolerated medication. However, keep an eye in the event other symptoms present.

just dosed the prazi.

How long does it take for the prazi to start working granted it's the correct treatment?

what other symptoms should i be looking for if it is ich or some other issue that prazi won't fix.

Thanks for your time it it's greatly appreciated.

Flukes are transparent and hang off the skin like a leach. Itch/ick is more mike a zit, raised skin with a white head. Prazi is fairly easy to treat with, some people will half the first dose to not shock the fish so much. Freshwater dips work really well on flukes, they will swell up and turn white then fall off pretty easily. Either way kanaplex can help prevent a secondary infection from the open sore left behind.

so the eye looks completely better already after treating prazi last night... there's no haze or whiteness to it all anymore. However on the front fins i now notice a few white spots. Does the prazi make the flukes on the fins visible? or is this a secondary issue ?

The Prazi cleared it up....

I also then had a battle with black ich , (which is not actually ich) I dosed a few round of prazi again for this and it cleared it up.

Tang is still in the QT tank for now but should be into the display tank in a couple weeks at this point as long as nothing else shows.
