yellow tang, how big

I have seen different sizes listed for yellow tangs. I know that fish in the wild get bigger than aquarium fish. What is the largest aquarium raised yellow tang you have actually seen? I have also read that if you want more than one, you should put them in at the same time. If you add a second one that is a little bigger than the origional, are the chances good there would be minimum conflict?

there is one for sale in a burbank pet store that is some 9" thats the biggest i have ever seen.. usually they stop growing at 6" or so....

i would get the smallest yellow i could find.. less chance of agression that way...
