Yellow tang. Ich?

Hello everyone. I'm fearing the worst here. This is my yellow tang I've had for about 6 weeks. He was a "suprise" from my mom and was in my tank before I could qt him. I added all my other qt fishes in the last week so they all appear ok. I noticed this immeidietly after turkey basting my tank and I'm not sure if its dirt or Ich. Thanks for the help

I would say that's a very bad case of Ich. Better get the tang and all his tankmates into QT & treat ASAP. If you list all of your fish, me or someone else can give you a proposed plan of attack.

Ughh not what I wanted to hear lol. Alright here's a list
1x yellow tang
2x melunarus wrasse
3x Bartletts anthias
2x perc clown
1x pyles fairy wrasse

All are good candidates for copper (Cupramine) treatment. I'm thinking you could probably get away with a 29 or 30 gal QT to treat them all; 40 breeder would be better, and I believe Petco is having their $1/gal sale right now.

Just from the pic, this could easily be velvet too. Velvet is also treated with copper, but you don't have nearly as much time to act.
