Yellow Tang in a 5 gallon Fluval V acceptable?

O.O

IMO, no fish should live in a 5 gallon.
Unless its temporary. "Fish and light not for sale"

I'd imagine its to make the tank look good.

No.

Anything but a handful of types of fish would be happy in such a small tank. Tangs like to swim and should be given a larger tank.

Agreed. I've kept clown gobies and clownfish successfully in a 5 gallon nano tank before though.

I'm going with this. They just put the tang in for a little while to take a pic for cl and now it is happy in a 100g tank.

Awesome. I have a Fluval Spec V sitting right next to me atm. I'm going to run to Petco right now and pick up one of those white color morphed Yellow Tangs, the ones with that Skelator look going on. Oh maybe I should pick up 2 so the one isn't lonely.

Actually, for that size tank I would reccomend a sohal.

I actually have that aquarium. It's a nice little tank. My little girl has some freshies in it.

To be honest my Fluval Spec V was my first coral tank. It really is sitting next to me. I modified it a bit and obviously used a different light, but they really are nice little tanks. Personally I would never put a fish in one, but stock it full of coral with a couple boxer craps or sexy shrimp and it turns into a neat little pico tank.
