From the looks of the pictures he looks alright. Not emaciated like a lot of yellows can be. If you can get a few more pictures close up of the eyes. Couldn't really tell from the picture how healthy the specimen may be. Is he eating? How long have you had him? What are feeding? Have you noticed any strange actions he may be doing? What are your parameters? A lot needs to be answered to give you a definitive answer.

Only had him a couple weeks In my qt. around his eyes are discolored pretty bad. He's eating great. Green seaweed and nls pellets

Usually cloudy eyes are a result of flukes that are attached either the outer lense or pupil area. If so I would treat with prazipro. Usually a 5-10 minute dip in FW can help confirm flukes although it will usually not effect flukes attached to the inner part of the eye. Take a small bucket of RO/DI water, match the temp and PH, dip him and monitor him for the course of the dip. Anything out of the normal behavior and I would remove him. Normal behavior for tangs and most fish will be very relaxed and swim a little then play dead and they will repeat it the entire dip.

FWIW, I monitor for 2 weeks then I FW dip for 5 min, then 5 days of prazi, monitor for 2-3 days then run 24 hours of prazi and add the fish. If anything happens that would suggest another treatment I then go ahead and proceed with that. I really overfeed during QT and fatten the fish up as much as possible. I actually add Methylene Blue to my FW dips just to help cure any fungus infections or aid in healing any open sores.

Good thing he is eating! Keep us posted!

That right there would be the result of malnutrition and possible HLLE(Lateral Line Disease). I would definitely get some selcon or Kent Marine C or Kent Zoecon and start soaking some chopped clams and brine shrimp in it. I would also soak the algae in it if that is what he is really eating. I would bump up feedings until he really fattens up and starts to look better. As far as the HLLE(Lateral Line Disease) goes, a good diet along with optimal water quality should help improve this. I would also suspect a bacterial infection, but I don't see any reddening anywhere so I would rule that out for now. Although running a course of prazi never hurts, I would fatten him up first.

Kent Zoecon or Kent Marine C..... I use selcon and love it, I order it on LA

Zoecon is more a for the HLLE
Kent Marine C is more to boost the immune system and aid in the HLLE
Selcon is more a vitamin and amino acid provider

They all aid in the recovery of HLLE

Brine Shrimp are not that healthy I just find that most fish will eat it and it is easiest to soak heavy and get them to eat it. The chopped clams are by far one of the most healthy foods you can feed your fish. Just go to the grocery store buy a clam or 2 and freeze it. Once frozen take it out and chop it up very finely with a knife. Then soak it in selcon if you want. Some LFS carry clams on the halfshell by Hikari which need to be chopped up as well. I can't see why either way would be different.

Same with most shellfish from the ocean. Anything from the ocean that you can feed as whole is generally better than any shrimp sold from the LFS. I stick to clams but other people venture out, Clams are a great source of protein for you fish.
