Yellow Tang poop problem

My Yellow Tang seems to have a huge poop hanging from him. I can see it's bothering him. Should I just wait it out or is there something i can do?

seems to be a re-occurrence.

Diet is brine (limited), then i mix up formula 1 and 2 and also nls pellets. i see him picking on rocks a lot and i have a variety of different algae growing on my LR like long hair, bubble etc. i've also got a bit of chaeto floating in my DT. i have some nori in the tank too but he doesn't seem to go for it

Try rubberbanding his nori to a rock if you are offering it from a clip. Sometimes that "tricks" them into eating it.

If I'm not mistaken, I remember reading somewhere a while ago about how chaeto in tangs diet can effect their poop. Might be what's causing it in your case as well.

I will try it again. My sailfin and tomini have no problem eating off the clip.

Pulled the chaeto and looks like that may have been the culprit. Thanks!
