Hey all. Been awhile since I've started a post here, which means all is going well I guess.
I picked up a yellow tang a few weeks ago from the Aquatic Envirnoments here in town. I noticed last night that there is something around it's mouth. Has a white color too it, but part of it looks red as well. I've seen it quite a bit grazing off of various food on the rocks and walls of the tank, but have never seen this on and fish before.
Water parameters are good. The two clowns, and coral beauty all seen normal as they should be. My inverts and urchins seem normal as well.
I dunno if this is related or not, but my wife noticed a few white marks near his tail section. They do NOT look like ich however, these almost seem like a bump of some sort. There is only two on the one side of the fish, and one on the other. Almost like it scraped against a rock. It is a very timid fish, much more timid then my last yellow tang. This one seems to hang out at the back of the tank quite a bit, and swimming through the rock tunnels within the scape.
Any thoughts as to what it is around the tangs mouth and on it's 'beek' region??
Thanks all!
