Yellow tang with Lawnmower blenny

anyone have experience keeping these two together? looking to maybe add a yt and already have the blenny.

had a horrible experience with a kole tang and blenny. kole was in tank first if that mattered. kole was relentless on him.

I keep a LM Blenny with a Yellow Eye Kole Tang. The blenny was first in my tank, 120 gal.
I think the Kole and the Blenny compete for the same micro-algae. My LMB stands up to the KT when chased. My blenny will just circle around and come back to the same area. Sometimes the KT mouths the blenny but the bristle mouth seems not to be too troublesome, not much "bite". The Tang seems to be more of a pain in the A** than a threat to the blenny.
The Yelow Tang's diet is a little different and I am not sure he will see the blenny as competition. Anyway, I have a YT in QT so I will find out soon.

My YT will just swim right next to my blenny and start picking right next to his head. The blenny eventually just swims off and I can almost hear him sighing Isn't aggression but its a mix of annoying and funny to watch.

my yellow tang and my lawn mower blenny get along just fine.

i had the same experience with my kole tang. since then i have read that tangs from genus Ctenochaetus don't do well with blennies. but Zebrasoma spp. seem OK.
