Yellow tangs and clownfish

So I'm getting a yellow tang and a clown fish and I'm wondering if I should buy the clownfish or the yellow tang first? My tank size is 300liters...

Tangs last or same time, but once the tang is settled, hard to add other fish

My Yellow T is OG. Tank 7yrs old. I had 6 clowns for a few years (1 Ocellaris + 5 Midnights), O died, re-homed Ms, added pair of tiny Maroon/Gold Bars 3yrs ago. 1 MGB survived & thrived. Through all the "˜clown drama' the Yellow Tang took no notice.

(150g tall w plenty of rock hiding places)

300 liters is quite small for a yellow tang... that comes out to about 80 gallons right?

Most people agree the absolute minimum for that fish is about 100 gallons (380) liters).

You might want to go with another fish. Maybe a Kole or tomini tang? I actually prefer those two to yellows.
