Yellow Watchman Goby in QT

I have a yellow watchman goby currently in a QT tank (been in there for three days now). He is showing no signs of parasites and appears to be healthy. Though he does stay in one corner of the tank for most of the day and doesn't move around a whole lot.

Do you think it would be ok to go ahead and add him to the main tank? There are no other fish in the main tank, only invertebrates (2 peppermint shrimp, snails, hermit crabs). It seems like it would be a whole lot less stressful for the little guy if he had some sand/rockwork other than pieces of pvc pipe and barebottom.

This is my first fish so I'd love to hear your opinions. Thank you!

keep in the QT for two weeks, you would hate to throw him in early only to find out later that he has some sort of funky parasite and have to fish him out of your established tank while worrying about your healthy stock coming down with something

Just my .02

Your watchman will be fine with pvc pipes in a day or two... and maybe in a day or two some parasites may show up... if this will be the only fish in your tank... go ahead and take your chances...but if you plan more fishes... do not take the risk... you probably will loose your bet...

Seems like this forum gets a little more traffic than the disease forum so I'll try posting here as well:

Ok, so I've noticed two pink spots on this little guy. They are probably 0.5mm in diameter. One is located on his body, just below the rear dorsal fin. The other is located on his side right where the caudal fin begins.

He might be "flashing" a little bit (turning his body and trying to scrape the glass bottom) but I'm not sure about this one he could just be acting a little odd.

I've also seen him move towards the top of the tank kind of clinging on to the silicon near the top of the water.

My first guess would be a parasite of some form that is currently too small to see that is also housing itself in this little guys gills. I'd really like to get a more definitive symptom before I start treating.

Please help diagnose these current symptoms. I wish I could get a picture but my digital camera cannot get in that close!

Yea I'll keep him on the selcon soaked diet. He seems to go crazy if garlic gets put into the tank (will attach to the silicon near the top of the water and not eat anything).

Then again I could just be making myself see things that aren't really there. This is just my first fish and I'm probably just a little paranoid!
