Yellow Watchman Goby Question

I picked up a yellow watchman goby and have it in QT. Should I put some sand and rock in the QT? If yes. Should I take sand from my Display tank or use some spare dry sand I have laying around?

it's not necessary. if you have the room in QT, you could always put small Tupperware container of DT sand in there with him if it makes you feel better. more than likely a piece of small pvc for it to crawl into would just as beneficial during QT.

It would be more comfortable with sand but it won't die without sand for a few weeks. Make sure the tank is either on a solid surface or has the bottom painted - they will get disoriented if the bottom is see-through and they think they are up off the ground. If it isn't eating or starts acting strange, adding clean sand (rinse the spare dry sand you have) would be the first thing I would do.

I qt without sand. It should be fine. Great fish!

Thanks everyone. The bottom is not painted but sits on a solid surface with a mat underneath it.
