thats a lunar wrasse you can look it up that way.

PS: i dont think they will mees with clams (my twin spot hasnt)

I've heard of them getting terribly aggressive with age. I think they're gorgeous fish too, but I don't exactly want something killing all of my fish. It's also a fish that would be hard to catch out of your tank possibly, given how fast they are. Unless you have some huge, aggressive fish, I wouldn't try it. It could well find a taste for clams in age, too.

ok looks like I may be doing some fishing to get these BAD BOYS out.....but they are really pretty! just my luck...lol should have done my homework!

Those two beauties over any clam anyday IMO.

thats kinda what I thought....might just have to keep buying hemits for them...lol

How big are yours? My Tusk used to pick the hermits up and just pretty much mouth them, never really eating them. Then he drop em and they'd scurry off mad as hell. Eventually you'll get the smart hermits that only know to come out at night...

I have a scotts about 6" and the yellow&Coris are about 3-4"

you know one thing I love is to watch a fish change in appearence as they mature & grow..so somtimes you have to just take chances If you want to keep the fish you love!

I think you could be fine with the yellow tail coris. Maybe it'll take a liking to the clams, but it's not for sure. They aren't as aggressive as the lunar. It may still eat small fish, but it shouldn't be a terror. They're fantastic looking as adults, too. I would remove the lunar and keep the yellow tail...

Reef Wrasses

You have a big tank and these choices might not be what you are looking for, but they are reef safe: Any of the Fairy wrasses, Twin-spot Hogfish, Tailspot Wrasse (H. Melanuras), Ornate Wrasse. Typically, the Halichoeres Wrasse family is reef safe.
