Yellowhead jawfish compatibility

Lately I've been hearing mixed reviews about the conspecific compatibility of yellowhead jawfish. Some sites say that you can keep colonies in them in a sufficiently large tank and other sites say that they must be kept by themselves. Another site even says that you can keep 5-7 in a 55 gallon. I'm planning a 55 gallon jawfish tank with a 6 inch sandbed and 6 jawfish. Are there any flaws to my plan? And if anyone has any experience with this fish that would be great. Thanks!

As long as there are sufficient materials and decor for each one to have its own burrow and break up the sight lines you should be ok. They will develop a hierarchy and fight over desireable burrows, but they should coexist, even ending up with pairs.

First you will need substrate for jaw fish. If you want to keep multiples go to KP aquatics and buy juveniles. They also sell pairs but I would only keep one pair in a 55
