Yet Another "Help Me With Water Movement" Thread

Hi all.

I have an aquarium with strange dimensions that I'm setting up and I'm getting ready to buy the last equipment pieces: wavemakers.

The tank is 67"L X 17"W X 12"T. There will be two return lines in the back of the tank spaced evenly (1/3 of the way from each end). The return pump will be pushing around 800 GPH. I'm thinking 2 main wavemakers, one on each end of the tank.

This will be an SPS dominated tank so I'm looking for LOTS of random flow. I don't have an aquarium controller and don't really plan on having one in the future, so compatibility with those is not very important.

Here are my current main contenders:

VorTech WP40
Tunze 6095
Tunze 6055
XF230 Gyre

I'm really liking the following about the WP40:
Programming modes
Lots of water flow
Most important: No cords! The tank is Eurobraced and I'm really not liking the idea of cord management.

Cons:
Hearing some quality complaints
Can't aim them
Mainly: Price

Tunze Pros:
Practically indestructible reputation
Very very quiet
Powerhead can rotate
Lots of flow

Cons:
Cord management with Eurobraced tank
Limited programming modes

XF230:
I really hadn't considered these until a couple minutes ago, so not sure.

So, I'm looking for opinions from people that have owned similar sized tanks and/or these particular wavemakers. Thanks in advance!

I had one of the old tunze waveboxes on my 125g reef tank (60" long). Wave motion was really good, moved stuff around well and water height would change about 1.5" from end to end. Playing with the controller, I could get water to splash out pretty easily. You won't like cord management as the box resides in the tank with the power head at the bottom of the box.
