Yet another led question

I'm starting a new tank and thinking about it doing an AI sol nano over it. I have seen multiple threads addressing whether sps grow well under these lights or not. However I have not seen many threads That directly address whether or not soft corals and lp s grow well in color well under l e e d lighting. Any input is greatly appreciated.

First off what size tank (L x W x H ) are you intendind to put this fixture over.

Not sure what you meant by color, but as far as if both corals gow well under Led's I have them on my mixed reef and both LPS and SPS do well. One note here its all a matter of coral placement SPS need more light and flow where as most LPS need less. So if you keep that in mind and your tank parameters are in check there should be no problem keeping both...

I have no interest in keeping sps corals. I am interested in how zoas and rics and lps tend to respond l e d lighting. The tank is approximately 16 inches cubed

Brian,

Sorry I misunderstood some parts of your question, but my the same resopnce applies LPS and softies do wonderfull under led lighting, As long as you give them time to adjust to the new lighting, That being said the AI's are dimmable so acclamation should not be a problem.

IME LPS, soft corals and zoas have done much better under LED lighting compared to SPS. Some LPS corals may take a little longer to adjust than others presenting a washed out color effect but once you get the levels figured out they eventually come back.

My tank is still fairly new but I'll share never the less.

So the consensus is that sol lights are suitable for most l p s and soft corals. My next question is a nano sol big big enough for a cube of the size? I have not built the tank yet I was thinking making it 18 by 18 by 18. Can I get away with a nano sol on a tank this size, since I won't be keeping sps. Again any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you
