Yet another question..this one on filtration

So I've got the sump/fuge running. Right now I have the water entering the sump over live rock then moving to a chamber where I have a euro-reef skimmer and a phosban reactor with rowaphos. Next is the fuge that right now has a small bit of chaeto and a small bit of caulerpa. There will be a 4 inch or so DSB with plenum here in 2 weeks once I move. I'm going to remove some sand from the main tank for this. Then it flows into the return chamber. What else do I need? For the moment I also have a double biowheel HOB with some carbon in it. Planning on canning that once the new tank arrives. So what do you guys suggest for flitration beyond that? Thanks

I only run a skimmer and a fuge, but I have 500 lbs of live rock in my tank and live rock rubble in my fuge. I think as long as you have enough live rock for biological filtration and a good skimmer, you should be set.

A good skimmer, fuge with macros and live rock will filter a tank very well. The phosban reactor with rowaphos is another really good thing as it will allow you to get your phosphates down very low, which will allow you to keep SPS and reduce your algae growth. Remember to use good carbon as carbons washed in phosphoric acid will dump phosphates into your water and use up the expensive rowaphos media quickly. Your tank should be fine with the above mentioned filtration, anything above and beyond what you have is not needed unless you want to keep very good water quality for coral like SPS. Remember to get some photos of the new tank up, I am interested to see the 3 sided starphire and all that.
