So, where are the pictures of your scores from tonight, John?
Here you go, Andrea.
Now these are just "First Blush" pics about 5 mins after being put in my tank.
Nothing looks half as beautiful as they did before they got jerked out of their happy home and sent on Mr. John's Wild Ride back to Tamarac.
(I'll throw up another set of pics when they've had a chance to de-stress tomorrow.)
An extremely generous 2" frag of Pink Stylophora from the Fragstravaganza newsletter.
Another extremely generous 2" frag of Pink Birdsnest from Fragstravaganza... more like 4-6" minimum if you count all the branches...
This is a 2" (really 3" at least) of Encrusting Montipora Peltiformis that wasn't even supposed to be available for this week's Fragstravaganza, but Patrick broke it out, and fragged it up anyway just because we missed out on getting a piece of it last week... and that just tells me right there what kind of a guy he is...
For the last of my sps, here is a huge friggin' frag, supposedly 2"... (I think Patrick has a serious lack of spacial awareness)... of Blue Tenuous Acro that anybody else would have gotten at least eight 1" pieces from.
And last but not least comes the softies I couldn't leave without tonight...
This Green Umbrella shroom was a huge head-turner at the store tonight and it was just one of dozens he had in that tank.
My pic sucks. It doesn't look like jacksh*t right now, but that shroom blows away all my other shrooms when it opens up like it was in his tank.
Wait'll you see tomorrow's pic of it.
Here's one each of the huge collection of blue and orange rics he had... I just had to... I love rics.
And finally, last but not anywhere near least, not one, but two rocks of true Superman mushrooms (red base covered in blue spots).
I'm not too proud to say that I twisted Ninjamini's arm to split that rock with me, and there will definitely be one available at the next club auction... (one off his rock... lol)
I have to say a big Thank You to Patrick at ReefLife for being so generous with the size and variety of frags he's making available for his wed night Fragstravaganza.
I really can't support it or talk it up as much as it deserves.
No one else is doing anything like this and I think there's a real market for it.
We're truly spoiled down here in S. FL. with all the choices we have and I think Pat has found something that really sets his store apart from everyone else.
Let's make sure we reward this type of progressive business practice and not let him go down the tubes like so many other LFS in the past.
See you there next Wednesday!
