:eek1:

I have a 12g aquapod. I have one percula clown that jumped over the skimmer plate and into the back chamber. He's done this a couple of times and I was able to 'fish' (no pun intended) him out.

This time though he went over into the pump chamber. He didn't get sucked up as I was able to see him before that happened and stop the pump and pull it out. After inspecting that chamber with a flashlight, I realized that it extends underneath the other chambers (didn't realize this) and now I think that's where he's gone.

Any ideas on how to get him out and how to prevent future escapes "over the wall".

Thanks,
:(

my small clown did the same in my biocube 29. except he was easy to retrieve. Maybe if you throw some frozen brine or something you can lure him somewhere where you can catch him, but i don't really know because ive never taken a good look at an aquapod

hmm i have no idea as to what an aquapod looks like.but i imagine the back chamber is separated from the main tank by an enclosure?maybe try a small "wall" of thin plexi across the top of this, extending its height from the water level, to stop him jumping in.is there any possibility that he swims in there(i.e. gaps or such)?

Aquapod's have skimmer vents at the top left chamber. Pretty tight fit but I suppose he could be swimming in between. He seems lost for good now. I haven't seen him today at all.

In the back chambers of the Aquapod they go 1 2 3 4 ...

In the bottom of 4, horizontol under 2 and 3 there is a sideways chamber .. I had some gobis go hide back there and had a HECk of a time getting them out. He probably isn't lost, just hidden.

I got som flexible black tube like you'd see in a garden department. slit it down the side and mashed it onto the top to stop the jumping.

Hope this helps!

i feel for you. i scared my yasahashi into the bottom skim vents of my 14g biocube. just got the fish yesterday too. and theres a false top over the bottom vents. bummer for us

I had a pretty big blue lobster disappear from a FW tank a few months ago, rearranged rocks to climb on, lifted the canopy...... He never turned up. I bet the mice in the walls of my crap student house were after him. I can only hope he fought hard before his death.... RIP forever.
