Actually, I got banned for like two days once. I opened a new account and they contacted me and said that they new who I was. Thankfully, it was a misunderstanding when I got banned and they let me back.
Yeah, they have cookies and can get the initial ip address and match it to your computer. That is how you can stay logged in even when you close the window and open a new one.
Actually it was a Lounge post. Apparently they don't appreciate good humor. When they asked me to beg for my account back, I refused. Oh well. :rolleye1:

No, evidently you think evading the profanity censor (which is clearly against the forum rules...there is even a sticky thread in the Lounge about it) doesn't apply to you.
Then when you were called on your post containing profanity, you thought it would be more fun to become arguementative and rude to the Staff member (not me) who contacted you about it.
A simple, "I'm sorry, it won't happen again" would have kept this in private and kept it from going any further. Instead, you wanted to either:
A. Become a martyr for some reason.
or
B. You felt that you can do no wrong, so instead of apologizing for breaking the rules, you decided to argue and be rude to the Staff member who contacted you.
