Your best nano fish

my first one did (he got sucked up a powerhead tho :( ) but the one i have now does not as far as i can tell. I'm not sure, but i think that it may be some sort of "defense" sort of thing...and i guess this one just doesnt feel threatened enough? Who knows.

But my old one used to sometimes burry itself at night but still have its whole back side sticking up lol. It looked like it thought he was an ostrich :) But it would usually just make like a cocoon thing instead.

The one i have now does neither.

My shrimp goby/pistol shrimp combo are very very cool in my 14g BC. Lots of entertainment but MESSY...forever messing with my aquascaping!

Chaloupa, Great combo. Great saying also. I have a BioCube 14 and looking to move the pair of Yashia gobbies and pistol into it. They have been waiting for me at my LFS for a couple of weeks and are also in a BoiCube 14.

Hey Earl! I just ordered a Yashia to be flown in to me on Friday and one for my Mom...mine "may" go in the 14g as I am going to watch for any interaction problems with the existing shrimp and goby, and the other is going in the BC14 that I finally talked my Mom into upgrading to from her current 5g. She loves it too..its a great tank with tons of upgrades you can do if you choose or just leave it stock without the bioballs.

kinda got a question.

so i have an 18 gallon tall nano set up for a mantis shrimp. he's a smasher, so he eats primarilly inverts.

i got 2 really small 4 line damsels, expecting them to be food.

my mantis is a lazy wuss though. and hasn't killed much more than a couple hermits.

i want a blenny. just a lil scooter. but with the 2 damsels, doesn't that over stock me?

i know there is a risk hell get his head bashed, but im tellin ya, beelzebub is a strait up wuss.

My Oc. clown is awesome. Had him for six years now. He's always been a lone fish since I had to downgrade to a ten gallon. Hoping to get him a YWG for him soon.

I think the scooter blenny is a member of the dragonette family along with the mandarin. Odds are it would starve before the mantis killed it.

Have cleaner wrasse, percula clown, blue-green chromis and scooter blenny in nanos. My conclusion: the good fish for nano is no fish at all. Least troublesome - percula, most good-looking - chromis, other have personalities, but scooter needs a good skimming and filtration with all of the food present in the tank.

Never had one in a nano, but I think a Helfrich's firefish would be awesome. Pricey though, as I'm sure you know:rolleyes:

Yes, but incredibly cool. I vote for the Frichy (and a pair of ocellaris clowns).

Haha... that looks like a pretty good pair... misfit pair, but a good pair.

I've had an o. clown in my 12g for 7 months. He and my yellow clown gobey live at peace. I just introduced another o.clown, and I think I got lucky--they seem to be enjoying each other. I just hope this new guy doesn't bug my goby.

I've had an ocellaris clown and a yellow watchman goby in my minibow7 for many years and never a single bite however there is a perpetual frown on one of them
