Your Gyre program

Those of you who are using Gyre's 250, what program are you running them with?

I have two on my 180 set horizontal and just changed to Lunar Tidal at a max 70%

I changed from 50% constant. I am concerned about pulse modes as I have read n a review that it puts a lot of stress on the seems and they could fail.

I use the gyre mode. Hell, it's in the name of the pump... Why not use that mode? Lol.

I run a long pulse on my Reefer 170.

It's essentially a Gyre flow. But it'll give the corals a break for a second from constant flow.

i'm in the dual xf250 club but in a 4ft tank am just a bit short to use either OGM or LTM as they only allow a minimum of 30%. i actually ended up using a custom 24 program that wasn't so custom...

i took their exact example and just customized the values. after some tweaking i'm happy with the result.

Doesn't the gyre flow turn the impellars one way for a certain amount of time at a certain intensity and then turn them in the opposite direction for a predetermined amount of time and intensity?

Isn't the pulse just one direction where you control the power and duration of the pulse?

I believe there is a setting that will vary both forward and backward motions on the impellers.

I just use the pulse mode, which I believe is only the forward impeller motion.

My pulse is just one way at a set speed. However it will turn on for a few seconds and then slow dramatically or stop completely (one of the two). But I tested it before putting to use, after the pump would blow I stopped it completely to see how the water still moved without the pump moving.

On some of the non gyre programs you can adjust the volicity form +100 to -100. Not sure actually how much minus but I have always thought that was reverse and how much.
