Your zoa/paly godfather

From time to time you find a hobbyist that has supplied so much information to the hobby of zoa keeping that you consider them the godfather of zoas.

This person has not only given you great responses but has also replied to your PMs or emails when you were down and out. For me, there are a few people that I would put up in that category, but I wanted to get everyone else's reply to this.

Whose info do you take to the bank?

I have been friends with Bryan Kile at Pure Captive for awhile now. Pretty much ever since he collected the first group of what would later be called PPEs from the caribbean. Gotta be one of the most knowlegable when it comes to zoanthids. Also, never too busy to take the time to answer PMs and e-mails. A stellar businessman and person, IMO. I've learned allot from him over the years about keeping caribbeans healthy. Keep up the great work Bryan. ;)

fellow FMAS(florida marine aquarium society) member Rogger Castellos. That is also his screen name but he is always there to help all of us if we need anything, In addition he has one of the most amazing tanks you will ever see.

MuchoReef!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't call him godfather or anything that glitzy, but if I have a question and want a honest answer, Mucho is the person that I would ask.

Rommel and John :)

I've heard of Marvin and Mucho, but who are these guys? Been lurking a while but haven't seen their names.

I think another person that has really helped out the zoa community is WhoDah. He has done a lot to organize different information to make it easy for us to find.

Marvin and Bryan Kile are two people that I think are a wealth of knowledge. I don't know Mucho personally but from his posts he also seems like he really knows his stuff and is a valuable asset to this forum.

Hands down MUCHO ....... He is about the most real, down to earth guy who seeks no extra "fame" or "glamour" in this hobby, just honest and very knowledgeable. I am glad he is a member in my area.

If I see a post by Marvin or Mucho, I always click on it.

Never a disappointment.

And I'd do almost anything for a five minute shopping-spree in either of their tanks.

Stop being so modest, Marvin. It's annoying. LOL
