Yuma growing on maxima clam shell?

I have this Maxima for about a year now. After a few months of having it I noticed this small mushroom on it and it has grown a lot. I researched and I believe this is a Yuma ricordea? I'm concerned for my clam that this mushroom stings the clams mantle; eventually resulting in an infection. I've had florida ricordea kill other corals so Im worried that theses Yuma can be just as deadly?

I am certainly no expert but I don't think you have anything to worry about. I have never heard of a Ricordea killing a clam. My Ricordea don't bother anything though and I have over 100 (mostly small) in my tank.

Yumas are essentially anemones...and while their sting is negligible wrt to so many other corals to the point of it being a non-issue if they touch, it's unknown to me how it would affect the highly sensitive mantle of a clam in the long run.

I would keep my eye on it. If you see the mantle generally retracted even slightly in the area of the yuma, i'd remove the yuma. The yuma may not be able to outright kill a healthy clam, but it might become an irritant.
