Getting an electric shock from my tank. Hands are wet. compact flourescents, 4 powerheads, 1 filter. Yeah beleive it or not no fancy hardware, everything is doing great including the tang and corals.
Hate that tingle though. Any ideas?

o yeah forgot. i have a heater.
ill have to unplug em 1 by 1 and hope i survive
and gfic's trip out. in the morning everything is demised
thx

You can put a meter in there to measure the electrical current instead of getting fried. As you said unplug each thing one at a time to find the culprit. I bet it is probably your heater, that seems to be pretty common.

They sell grounding rods to avoid stray electrical current. Just open stainless steel rods on one end that go in the water that plug into the ground plug of your standard electrical outlet. And yes gfci is a must have.
