Hi Guys I was just wondering How Many of you heard about The Zeovit method in Reef tanks And what your opnions on it are? I've been reading on it for a few months and I am very much considering trying on my new tank Below are links to so reading if you would like And Please let me know what ya think! Thanks :reading:

I runa Zeo system John, and I like it. Many here run a variant of some type or another. Zeo systems are really Low Nutrient systems, known as ULNS. Zeovit, Prodibio, and others are horrendously expensive and marketing ploys to overcharge for somethign you can do much cheaper.

I like Brightwells system, as it is reasonably proced and does not break the bank. Others Dose Vodka, or Vodka-sugar-vinegar (a little more risk on this one IMO). Research ultra low nutroent systems to get the full picture.

One copmmon thing is when implementing, you msut watch your parameters and be consistent..if you are not you can crash your tank..the payof iss if you do it and keep up with it, results are awesome.
 
I run one also. But no media. Here's my doseing:

MB7: 5 drops/day
Coral Vitalizer: 8 drops/day
VSV: 3.5ml/day
Zeo Amino Acids: 2 drops/day
Lugol's: 1 drop/day
Brightwell's Potassion: 1.3ml/day
 
Yeah The system I was looking into running was the Brightwell system as I seen a guy on the zeo fourms say his 180 gallon full zeo runs him about $18 up keep a month I just need to come across me a nice price reactor for the media Im trying to find someone whos good with acrylic that could make me one for prolly less then most premade
 
I've seen people use canister filter with a valve for flow. You can find one used cheap. I did it with a fillstar px3 it worked on my 75gal just you got to shake it every day which I did everynight.
 
Yeah I seen some people make them from those I even seen a guy make some of of 2 5 gallon buckets lol
 
Most of the reactors for zeo I've seen Have the handy plunger so you can shake the rocks just by raising and lowering the Handle Not sure what way i want to go yet The only big things I have left to buy for my tank is a reactor,skimmer, and rock just trying to get all the big exspenses taken care of first
 
Just make sure your stand is high enough to move the handly up and down. That why I went with a canister.

I almost bought it for myself as a baclup, but thought John would benefit greatly. If he doesn't then I just may.

John, Stand deals come along frequently..this one does not. I would take this if I were you.
