Hi guys

i was wondering if i can use some products of Zeovit without the full kit

i would like to start adding ZEOfood Coralvitalizer and Aminoacid AAHC5

i have biopellets and phosphate reactors running whit algae chaeto, can i have problems with that?

I have planned to put the whole kit in the future when i have more sps in the tank

Sure, give it a try. Why do you want to use those products? What do you hope to accomplish?

They are good i think its a good source of food and aminos for the sps
I hope to achieve better color and growth, since im doing it well with low nutrients running phosphate and biopellets reactors, i want to start with those products

Yes those are just coral 'food' and replacement a a - just go slow

what do you mean to go slow?

was planning to start adding 5 drops of each one, that's the recommendation of the zeovit forum to my tank

how will you know what did what then ?

start with 1, half dose, for first week, observe changes. go up to full dose for 2nd week, observe, if you notice brown film, or SPS browning, stop.

then after 2 weeks, start the same with the next additive.

what state are your corals and tank at now ?

Id advice to use CV and Xtra instead, if corals are healthy but lack color [not brown].

Which do you think are the "must have" from Zeovit products?

its like asking what is a must have part of a car ? the seat ? stirring wheel ?

they all work together.

there is nutrient control side, then there is color enhancers. the OP is talking about the second part in this thread, the color enhancers and coral foods.

My tank is good at the moment, the corals are growing but slowly and not at the full coloration.

my levels are stable at Ca 430 MG 1480 and Kh 8 K 390 phosphates 0 and NO3 1mg

What dou you mean whit the brown film? im kinda new with Zeovit

then you don't recommend to use some products of Zeovit instead of the full kit?

i don't have problems handling it the low nutrients, that's why i only want the aminos and Vitalizer

is it possible to post a pic or 2 of some of the corals ?

slow growth, doesnt always mean coral is starving. it can be alot of other reasons ...

brown film algae. its a brown substance covering stuff in an aquarium, it is a sign of nutrients increasing. and also could be sign of overdosing of CV or Xtra.

what I said in second Quote was not understood correctly .... again .... LOL .... what you are saying here is you have the "engine" covered by ure pellets and GFO and. ... and are using ZEOVIT window Tint. nothing wrong with that. lol you seem to understand that Zeovit has 2 parts, one is to CONTROL NUTRIENTS, second is to FEED CORALS AKA COLOR ENHANCER. I never said you can not use color enhancers. you have the nutrient control part in place by other means, and want to use the color enhancers from KZ.

Hi Allmost,
I totaly understand what you say.
Lets say that the control part is in use. Already have zeolites, and adding Zeobak and ZeoStart to control NO3/PO4.
After that, Zeovit have a lots of products: AA's, Coral Vitalizer, XTRA, Stylo-Pocci-Glow, Pottassium iodide/flouride, K-Balance, Iron, ZeoSpur, Coral Snow, B.Balance, ZYM, BioMate, sponge power, and so on and on and on :)

Now i'm adding CV and AA.
I've been reading that the most important to dose ares these two, XTRA, Sponge Power and Coral Snow.

My question was just to have your opinion about the most importants to dose in order to have good colors and growth.

Thanks and cheers to all.

Sure.... let me take the pictures when i come back to home.

sorry about that.... i think i understand another thing my apologies. LOL

i will follow your recommendations to start.

i think i have most covered points to keep healthy my sps Lighting, flow, feed, nutrients and is going well. just want to keep them more healty and grow them more with more PE and coloration. ;)

you know always you want the best for your tank.

yea exactly, you should use Xtra instead of AA, Xtra is essentially AA + some elements, which makes colors deeper ! you have to see that change to know ... but makes the corals much nicer.

Xtra -- explained above.
Biomate - bacteria, does not use C like Bak, eats detritus. lowers po4.
Sponge Power - promotes sponges, they eat excess bacteria [skimmer?] and their tissue, is the best known coral food. [makes purple tips on corals stand out]
K-balance - must test for K+ [potassium] and dose if needed. red fade if K+ is low.
B-balance - lowers Zoox, specially in reds.
Zeospure2 - Zinc and copper and boron I think . kills Zoox algae within corals, makes them much lighter, and increases growth ! [POTENT product, only use if 100% healthy corals]
Coral Snow - bonds with things, be it bacteria, elements or yellowing agents in water, and makes them charged, therefore skimmable.
ZZ : enzymes. puts bacteria on steriods ! [kinda]

the elements are for when you have ALOT of corals, all growing crazy. then they might be lacking. Iron for green, PIF for blue.

as each tank is different, I cant really say which is the best, but if I HAD to pick one, it would be Xtra and SP as u said. they heal corals, give nice colors and ...
