Zero waste RO units

I wonder what kind of membrane that it would be in there, I imagine you might have to replace it fairly often.

The "no-waste" system basically takes the concentrate (reject water) and reintroduces back into your water supply. Which is fine if you're flushing your toilet with it, but this is also the water you drink and cook with. This will also become the feed water for the RO unit again but now it is at a higher concentration, meaning your membrane will need to be changed more often.

I completely agree w/ simmons797....it either puts it right back into the unit or into your water heater...either way you've got poor water that should be discarded being reused. I would really like not to waste water, but I do not think zero waste units are the answer....I also hear for some reason that people have a verry hard time finding replacement filters for those but idk how much truth is behind that.
