Yes -- who owns one?

Every time I look at these all I can think of is salt creep, evaporation, and how long a goby would last in it. They seem over-priced too, I wonder how difficult it would be to DIY something similar..

I don't own one, but I've seen them in person a couple of places.

Impressions: very nice. It looks very cool and i like the sleek black acrylic stand. I don't like that the size I would want is relatively short, but I guess this is necessary so that water doesn't do too much splashing.

I worry about the noise level, and b/c I saw them at LFS's with a lot of background noise I couldnt tell what they would be like in a home. The LFS salesman commented that (obviously) the tank has to be perfectly level or else the overflow doesnt work (or at least look like its working) properly, and a larger than average return pump is needed for the tank size.

Ive talked to several people who complain about having to algae scrape the outside of their tank. Ive also heard stories about Astreas crawling over the edge, and people finding snails roaming around the outside of the tank, thats kinda cool

Nice tanks. I wouldn't mind to get one but it may not be a good idea for homes with small kids

heh, yeah, my astreas go in and out of the overflow box all day, so I would totally expect that too.

i dont think i could keep my children from contaminating the water with there dirty hands. I just think it would be a disaster all the way around.
