It has lost color under the LEDs and I’m not sure exactly why that is. It’s at a point now where it’s too big to move it around in the tank. Still a fun coral to watch table out.

Just about killed it in November but covering it in glue when trying to remount; then it fell off again and found it during a water change as I almost siphoned it out of the tank. Has been remounted now for a month and is coming back. Little booger, but it’s a pretty one.

excellent growth, regarding coloration I've found twice daily feedings of Cyclopeeze has helped color up many of my corals that had not changed in some time, it took about 8-10 weeks of feeding, other parameters were not changed

Do you use the frozen red bar of cyclopeeze or the freeze-dried? How much do you feeding at a time? And what times are you feeding? Morning/night when the lights are off?

I use the freeze dried Cyclopeeze, I mix about 4 tablespoons in a container of tank water and let it settle in the fridge. As it sinks to the bottom I siphon about 25cc or so from the bottom and mix with whatever I'm feeding, typically Mysis and Rod's frozen foods, let it all dissolve, mix and feed twice a day. When the container of Cyclopeeze runs out, usually in about a week, I repeat the process.

How many high do uo have the fixtures from the water leve?

Thanks, growth has been very good the last few months (in both tanks actually) so I know it's more than just the lighting.

I did modify the lighting schedule slightly in late-September and it has been the same since then by increasing the Violet channel slightly. Otherwise, I believe things are pretty much the same.



The lights are currently about 12-14" off the water, I believe. I've been thinking of raising them to around 2-2.5' off the water to get better coverage. As you can see, there are a few darker/shaded spots near the top of the tank where I'd like to have more light distribution for SPS. Since I have "room" to increase the LED intensity, I think it might solve the issue.

Red planet just hasn't looked the same since the transfer and I'm 99% sure it's because it's not getting enough flow but I don't have another place for it so it's staying put.

This one continues to impress me but it really needs be seen top down (as pictured) due to how it's growing in my tank.

Really hard to say because Kris feeds the tank more often than I do but I'd say on average, we feed a 1"x1" piece from a frozen pack (i.e., LRS Reef Frenzy, Rod's Food, Mysis, etc.) and a 3"x3" sheet of nori per day.

And, I usually do a big flood feeding in the tank with a bunch of food the day before a water change. For example, I'll take one 1"x1" piece of Reef Frenzy, one 1x1 of Rod's Food, a 1/2"x1/2" piece of Rod's eggs, a cube or rotifers and some Doctor Eco System "egg brew" and feed half early in the morning before the lights come on and the other half mid-day. I just leave the skimmers off for 24hrs or whatever to make sure they don't go crazy.

Sometimes I'll feed reef roids when I think about it but it's so irregular that I can't say whether or not it has an effect.
