I've never heard of that. I could only guess that to remove the pigment from one animal and transfer it to the next would take a fair amount of skill and sophisticated utensils. This would most likely be out of the hands of most average aquarists.
There is a thread here in the Advanced Topics forum that discusses Zooxanthallae Clades and the theoretical process of introducing similar clades to help bring bleached animals back to their full, vibrant color. It has many pages to it, so if you refine your search at the bottom of the forum to include threads from the last year that are sorted by the number of posts in descending order, you should be able to find it within the first few pages.
