zoa dying or just needs time?

So I took a risk and fragged a single zoa that I had in a colony. It is half orange and half green. I carefully removed the polyp from the rock and cut the surrounding tissue that holds the colony together.

The first couple days it was closed, then the polyp opened a little bit for a day or two and has now been closed for about 3 days. A little bit of brown algae is starting to grow on the outside of the polyp near the top.

I put the single polyp right next to the colony that I fragged it from. Do I need to give it more time or is it dying?

Thank you. I did a peroxide dip last night and I am going to try some Coral Revive tomorrow. This is my first time ever "dipping" a coral
