Zoa Gardens on Branch Rock

Personally, i think it looks AWESOME when zoanthids grow out into a mature colony on a nice piece of branch rock.

it gives a great open feeling to the tank and adds some really interesting aquascaping.

i have over 20 different morphs of zoas and im debating on taking them off their current rocks and epoxieing them to branch rock in the center of my tank.

does anyone have any pics to inspire me?

also where is a good place to get WYSIWYG pieces of branch rock? or does anyone have any for sale?

Ahhh, I wish I had a pic for you. I just cut the rock up. It was a nice piece of tonga branch about 10" tall and about 5" wide. had lots and lots of pink with neon yellow lashes zoa's growing all over the tips. Looked really cool. I didn't place them there, it was just a rock a picked up from the LFS one day.

this is a side shot of my tank, rock is about 45cm long

OP, I think growing zoas on branch rock is a great idea. That inspires me to frag and glue down some zoas onto my Tonga branch rocks (which I got from BRS), once I have my new system running.

Rodney, that's an awesome garden there. I can't imagine how long it took to grow!
