This colony used to all be open like the few left in the pic. Have had them for 6 months. All was well until a couple of weeks ago....now this. Water params: calc 440, alk 9.8dKh, Ph 8.0, salinity 1.027
They are covered with cyanobacteria and algae and that is why they are not opening. Check you phosphates and silicate levels which will likely be the cause of the cyano and algae. I would take the polyps out of the tank and dip them in freshwater for a few minute and swish them around vigorously to kill and remove the cyano and pluck the hair algae off at the same time.
