When I purchased it I almost thought it might be an LPS because of the texture of the flesh when it is closed.( it is a very rough, firm but slightly spongey texture) I am not sure why but my husband is convinced it is a palythoa. I am not. It is currently in our 47 gallon sps tank with a 275 watt halide, high flow (1 Jebao WP40 wavemaker and 2 additional powerheads) and the water is ideal for SPS low nutrient, higher calcium and magnesium levels) here, it is thriving, however when we tried to introduce it into our 29 gallon nano, (primarily softies, zoas, leathers, and a few lps, lower flow, higher nutrient, lower calcium and magnesium) it did terrible. I have no clue what it is, and neither did the store we got it from. Any ideas? I will try to get a picture up of it closed up. When it's closed, it is one solid piece, like a half sphere shape
