zoa partially superglued shut......

I got some free-floating zoas from a LFS today for next to nothing. I figured I would try to glue them to a rock even though they had no base-rock/crushed coral on them. I was quite careful to just put a bit of glue on the rock where I attached them. I just looked a few minutes ago and they seem to only be open 3/4 of the way. The good news is even though they have only been in for 3 hours , they are partially opened. Anyone else accidentally get glue on the top part of a zoa?
I will attach a pic in a few if my camera battery is charged.

p.s. the smallest polyp was found after the LFS owner was grabbing the bigger one. I got these for less than a $1 a polyp by the time all was said and done. No complaints here if they just wont survive.
Thanks in advance, Scott

It actually looks like you have gotten super glue on it.. It may come open... when the glue loosens up.. but I haven't ever gotten it on the top like that so I really don't know. Good Luck

Let me know how it turns out!

i dont konw whats going to happen either but I subscribed to the thread to see what happens because I'm curious.

Also fyi you really dont need that much glue.. just a tiny dot is more then enough.

thanks pain inthewrasse, I was worried cause there is no crushed coral/rock pieces attached to the zos. I guess I overdid it, but they are at least 3/4 open, so i will send another pic in a few days if I see a change.

thats a whole lotta superglue IMO. i am also guilty however of gluing shut zoas on accident. they did 3/4 for a while but in the long run perished.

Ok, here is a follow up picture taken tonight. I just snapped it with out setting camera , so lighting is off, but you get the idea. The larger polyp has opened and the smaller one is still stubborn or possibly glued
