Zoa placement

hey everyone,

I just purchased a frag of some cool pink palys, but the only real place I could put them is next to my frag of red/green favia. Will they cause any issues for each other or will they be okay next to each other?

depends on how long the sweepers on the favia are, the sweepers will kill zoas or palys or anything else it can take out.

i would leave enough room for growth if your unsure.

I'd just put them on the sandbed a few inches away from the favia. Not worth the risk in my opinion, as mentioned above favia have sweeper tentacles that sting and kill other corals.

They are probably Zoanthus, not Palythoas. It's very hard to find pink Palythoas, I'm sure!!
I would place them far from Favias. Try to do some arrangements with the rocks and you'll find a sweet spot for them.

Grandis.
