Zoa Pox - Fungus?

I have had 3 small tanks (5gal, 32gal, 42gal) that are all going to be worked into one large tank. I have over 20 varieties of Zoos and Palys from different sources and never dipped them prior to going into my tank. About 4 months ago I purchased some Kedds Red Zoos and they developed "Zoo Pox". White fungus bumps on closed polyps. I didn't do anything to them and it spread through the tank and everything was affected at some point and to some extent over the last few months. Everything has made a nearly full recovery. Once in a while one polyp will close and have a white bump (or several).
1. Could this be due to stress and it could flare up at any time?
2. If I quarantine all the zoos prior to the move will the dip recommended by Mucho eradicate the problem?
3. Everything is already in the quarantine tank - is the fungus "loose" in the water? If I take everything out and dip but then return them to the quarantine tank will they get reinfected?

The fungus is waterborne. If not treated it will kill the zoanthids. Dose the tanks with Furan-2 according to the instructions on the packaging to have fight the infection. It will spread over to the new tank. It is caused by stress.

I speak from experience having not caught this fast enough and I lost 4 colonies of zoanthids.

I would be careful treating the entire tank with furan. You are better off dipping the infected zoas once you are sure they have pox. If you dip them for a few days, they should be good to go. With my experience, pox is not necessarily a death sentence, but you have to recognize and treat it quick

I don't have any current pics because everything is currently fine. All the colonies showed symptoms at one point over the last 4 months.

So.....they were all just moved on Sunday into a clean quarantine tank. To treat or not to treat? If none of the colonies were showing symptoms then would it be water bourne in the quarantine tank?

Bump.....Should I dip colonies that had a previous infection of Zoa Pox but are currently not showing any symptoms? I just want to start my new tank off on the right foot. Thank you for any help!

My understanding was that stress can affect the immunity of the zoas and lead to an infection. Whereas normally the zoas can resist the fungus from spreading. I would only dip as a last resort, because dipping will just cause more stress.
