See a lot of white dots on my purple death. They are all opening when lights are on and it's still growing fast. Is it Zoa pox? But I read that if its Zoa pox the zoas will closing up and dying , but mine are still growing.
If I were in your shoes, I'd quarantine them and put them in a separate tank and watch how they do. Cuz it would suck if other colonies caught it. You never can be too safe.
Its not pox, palythoa varieties like Purple Death and Button polyps use sand and other calcareous objects to help build themselves. I'm pretty certain these varieties don't get pox. They're usually one of the hardiest types of palys.
They look like Zoa Pox to me as well. These can go away on their own and you can scrape them off the polyps with a stiff brush too. The trick is though to remove them for good. Like mentioned above, Furan-2 is probably your best bet.
Pox cant be scraped off as it is an internal infection, right? I have purples that bring substrate up and incorporate it into their base and it looks like lesions of some sort, but they are still doing great.
I scraped some of mine off with a stiff brush. A large majority of these polyps look brand new when I was done with them. The problem was that it came back though. Dipping this colony wasn't an option, so I just continued to scrape off what I could and eventually it went away on it's own.
