I just received a shipment of zoas/palys today and some of them are looking rough. Upon arrival I went through my normal new coral protocol of temp acclimation, bayer dip and then in the tank.
After putting them in the tank I noticed they were all pretty translucent looking. One of them "shed" this translucent layer and is starting to open (paly). The other paly and one of the zoa are very translucent but seem firm. The other zoa actually looks like it might be ok but its angry.
My tank is mostly sps/LPS and I am just getting into zoas so I'm not really sure if these are dying or will recover. I have read sometimes zoas take a week after shipping to open so I am not losing hope yet. Are these goners? I have them on the sandbed in good flow.
