Zoanthid and Leather frags too close

The Curious

I was given a rock that had about 7 zoanthid heads and a leather frag only about 3 inches apart. The Zoas have spread now and are only about two inches away from the leather's base. Should I be trying to prevent this? The rock is a good solid piece, not too easy to just break a chunk off of.

Any ideas, suggestions?

Thanks

Removing a leather vs removing zoas, I think leather removal will be easier in the long run.

I'm no expert on leathers. I have zoas all around the base of the one leather I have and I don't see any problems with having them live together in close quarters.

True, but they're likely to shade out the zoas anyway, so you might as well move it. Obviously depends on the exact leather type.
