zoanthid issues

about a week ago, i noticed that 2 of my Caribbean beauty polyps were "detached" from the base (like 1/2 way up the stalk) and blowing around the tank. i didn't think too much of it and tried to grow the polyps on a rock but they disappeared. today i noticed that another polyp from a different colony (my triple threats) has done the same thing and some of my yellow skirt zoos are missing the polyps. only the stalk remains on these. it is starting to worry me.

in the tank right now is various corals (sps, lps and zoos), some porcelain crabs, a perc clown, a hi finned red band goby and a pistol shimp (i can't remember the name but it is yellow red and white).

i will bring my camera here tomorrow and take some pics of it and post them.

in the mean time, does anyone have an idea of what is going on or what is doing this?

Lucas, is this a tank at work or at home?
Has the base detached or is it just the polyps?
Have you inspected for some sort of predation?

the tank is the one at mote. the base hasn't detached. about 1/2 way up the stalk it is detached.

what should i look for in terms of predation? i have been staring at it all day trying to see if i can spot something funny but with no luck.
